THOMAS HESTVOLD Thomas Hestevold lives on a tiny island, Vestre Sandaøya, just outside of Tvedestrand, Norway. From his barn-converted studio, he is surrounded by nature and solitude, the perfect environment for him to create his nature-inspired sculptural works. Trees from a hike in the forest, waves from a ride on his kayak, or fields, rivers, and coastlines from a flight become mental images that serve as inspiration for work.
