Lisa Carney is a Canadian abstract painter and singer from the Gaspé Coast of Quebec, now living and working north of Montreal. Her minimalist landscapes and abstract gardens are rooted in memories of open fields, wildflowers and the expansive views of the Baie-des-Chaleurs region. Working intuitively in acrylic, she builds her paintings through layered colour, softened passages, drips and scattered marks.
